The Orthopaedic Program at Children's offers comprehensive services at multiple locations throughout Metro Atlanta. Led by Michael L. Schmitz, M.D., Chief of Orthopaedics, the program is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that includes orthopaedic surgeons, physical therapists, orthotists, prosthetists and certified athletic trainers. This dynamic group of individuals serves the community as healthcare advocates and is actively involved with committees and organizations locally, regionally and nationally.
Our orthopaedic team cares for thousands of patients who require specialized medical and surgical treatment for a variety of musculoskeletal diseases, complicated congenital anomalies and deformities and injuries in the southeast and internationally.
Our team of orthopaedists combine patient care, teaching and research to ensure our patients receive the latest and most innovative, family centered care.
